This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Drive the execution of field medical strategies by collaborating with Executive Directors (EDs), Team Leaders (TLs), Health Systems (HS) PASLs, HS SaMIs, and US Directors of Medical Affairs (DMA) to ensure the strategic prioritization, implementation, and achievement of USMA Goals/Objectives and Country Medical Affairs Plans.

• Represent US Therapeutic Area (TA) Medical Affairs in departmental or cross-functional meetings that affect the entire TA team to guarantee proper resource allocation, alignment, and excellence in planning and execution.

• Create and lead implementation strategies throughout product life cycles while maximizing synergies across programs and Scientific Leaders to fulfill Enterprise and Country strategic imperatives/goals.

• Facilitate team value creation by pinpointing high-impact areas and translating them into messaging through executive presentations that resonate with senior leadership.

• Continuously monitor the healthcare landscape and assess emerging trends to identify individual skills and competencies essential for driving future organizational capabilities.

• Collaborate with leadership on initiatives that shape culture, foster team development, and enhance performance to ensure a high-performing, innovative, and agile medical organization.

• Provide and utilize scientific and Medical Affairs expertise, innovative thinking, and resources to support high-priority projects and crucial departmental/team responsibilities.

• Act as the primary Oncology USMA contact for operational and logistical stakeholders regarding aspects that affect the entire TA team.

• Promote simplification, innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness within medical systems, tools, and processes to enhance agility and measurable outcomes.

• Demonstrate expert knowledge of company and organizational policies and procedures, serving as a resource for the team.

• Offer strategic leadership to the Digital Innovation, Operations, and Compliance Council, including sites and systems for information input and data analysis.

• Develop and evaluate team data and analytics through dashboards, scorecards, and other analytics systems to monitor performance against team objectives and impact metrics.

• Identify strategic opportunities to incorporate an AI-first mindset within Oncology.

• Strategically advise the Country TA Leadership Team on gaps and/or opportunities to enhance processes and systems for Country TA Field Medical Affairs.


⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced healthcare/science doctoral degree (e.g., M.D., Pharm.D., Ph.D.)

• A minimum of 5 years of field medical and/or medical affairs experience, showcasing leadership in the role with at least 2 years in a headquarters position or equivalent.

• At least 3 years of experience working in oncology within the relevant therapeutic area.

• Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, strategic, tactical planning, project leadership, and communication skills.

• Capability to manage a demanding and evolving workload while responding effectively to timelines and shifting market events.

• Proficiency in working across a diverse portfolio throughout the product life cycle.

• Ability to communicate information effectively to internal and external stakeholders at all levels (e.g., senior leadership, management, and individual contributors).

• Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare sector.

• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional, highly matrixed teams and engage with multiple stakeholder groups (e.g., therapeutic areas).

• A solid track record of contributing to medical and scientific development strategies within the pharmaceutical industry.

• Full proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and an understanding of AI capabilities and their potential applications for enhancing field medical effectiveness.
