This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Plays a vital role in the planning of Clinical Development strategies and leading presentations to various internal governance committees.
• Provides leadership and clinical oversight across all assigned studies and programs, with direct accountability for assigned clinical initiatives.
• Collaborates with regulatory and other internal partners/stakeholders to complete and submit regulatory filings and documentation.
• Assists other functions and teams with clinical science information and input for regulatory submissions and processes.
• Takes a leadership role in developing and implementing communication strategies to support ongoing and completed studies, including KOL interactions, advisory boards, major medical meetings, congresses, and various publications.
• Contributes clinical science insights into the scientific strategy relevant to specific therapeutic or disease areas.
• Maintains an understanding of the competitive clinical development landscape and adjusts strategies accordingly.
• Identifies strategic and incremental organizational resource needs related to People, Process, and Technology.
• Plans and directs career development for members of the US clinical development team.
• Exemplifies values and Leadership Expectations while providing strong mentoring and coaching for team members.
• A minimum of 8+ years of experience is required, with 10+ years preferred in biotech/pharmaceutical or relevant academic credentials.
• An advanced degree (MD or MD equivalent) with subspecialty training in hematology/oncology is essential.
• Must possess complex scientific knowledge and development expertise to transition an asset into a medicine.
• Capable of facilitating and integrating strong science into commercially viable products.
• Exceptional scientific communication skills (both written and verbal), along with strong interpersonal, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in managing study start-up, directing and guiding study team execution, data cleaning, medical review, database locks, and managing health authority responses is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in Program Management and Clinical Development.
• Identifies the need for and leads the team in developing strategies to meet team objectives.
• Guides the team in utilizing all available resources and information to optimize the effectiveness of both long- and short-range planning.
• Holds direct accountability for driving clinical development programs and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
