This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Review disease indices, pathology reports, radiology reports, and additional clinical documents to pinpoint reportable cancer cases for identification.
β’ Conduct primary data abstraction for oncology measures and registries.
β’ Ensure exceptional abstraction accuracy and consistency with organizational quality standards.
β’ Maintain comprehensive long-term follow-up data collection and input for all cancer registry patients.
β’ Gather data for National Cancer Database special studies as necessary.
β’ Comply with the requirements of the Oncology Abstraction Training Program.
β’ Oncology Data Specialist certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) to be obtained within 36 months (3 years) of the hire or job transfer date is mandatory.
β’ Preference for registrars with a specialization in Tumors.
β’ High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience.
β’ Currently enrolled in or have successfully completed a NCRA-Accredited Certificate Program.
β’ An Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree.
β’ A total of 4 years of relevant cumulative job-specific experience.
β’ Adherence to all oncology regulatory standards is required.
β’ Compliance with the Oncology Abstraction Training Program requirements.
