This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Candidates must reside within the designated territory, which includes New York City, NY.

• This role involves the development and maintenance of strategic business relationships within Oncology departments and practices, engaging with Oncologists, Hematologists, Pharmacists, Nurses, Executive-level personnel, Department heads and Managers, as well as various support staff in a highly academic setting.

• The focus of these business relationships is to enhance education regarding product benefits and risks in accordance with the approved label, foster new business opportunities, optimize resource utilization, and drive sales and market share growth by meeting the sales targets for the designated Oncology product and indications.

• Utilize opportunities to comprehend and address customer needs while building robust relationships that yield market intelligence and support the creation of compliant and innovative programs and initiatives.

• Sustain consistent partnerships with in-house and/or cross-franchise leaders and collaborate with them to identify, design, and/or adapt suitable approaches and strategies that demonstrate resources within the territory.

• Deliver effective on-label technical and scientific presentations using approved data to adequately showcase the benefits and risks of the product, ultimately achieving sales goals.

• Act as the primary U.S. Commercial contact for targeted accounts within the assigned territory, collaborating with all AbbVie and co-promotion counterparts, including Brand and Strategic Marketing, GPO team, Thought Leader Liaisons, MSLs, and contracted SPPs, to ensure outstanding customer support for physicians benefiting their patients.

• This support should encompass site assistance and addressing any potential customer concerns.

• Develop, communicate, and regularly update strategic and tactical business plans for targeted accounts. Collaborate with sales leadership and other relevant AbbVie or co-promotion partners to facilitate physician/treatment team training on the approved and safe usage of AbbVie’s products. Monitor and report sales progress while maintaining routine communication with all internal and external partners.

• Serve as AbbVie’s key point of contact for each account, responding to or directing customers to the appropriate service or point of contact for their inquiries or requests, and ensuring active follow-up.

• Lead the coordination and ensure delivery of any required or requested support in a timely manner, satisfying the account's needs by involving the best person within AbbVie or the co-promotion partner.

• Attend and engage in local clinician boards, societies, and other healthcare professional meetings when appropriate, representing AbbVie and assigned products while building or enhancing existing relationships. Relay key information, developments, or findings to internal partners/stakeholders, ensuring all communications in these settings adhere to the approved labels.

• Stay informed on all clinical, market, and payer developments, trends, and issues specifically related to oncology and relevant disease areas.

• Complete all required AbbVie training and adhere to all company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.

• Within the assigned accounts and territory, pursue critical information and convey its implications for our business and our customers’ businesses.

• Transfer knowledge to relevant internal partners and integrate best practices that provide tangible benefits for customers and patients across assigned indications/brands to enhance the territory and AbbVie Oncology.

• Establish and maintain a thorough understanding of the approved product label and disease state knowledge for impactful engagement with customers.

• Optimize both external and internal data, resources, and tools to identify sales opportunities and program strategies for customers in the assigned areas.

• With legal/OEC approval, actively participate in relevant organizational programs within local markets.

• Develop a strong command of available selling resources and tools, demonstrating them effectively to support selling strategies and maximize impact.

• A crucial requirement of the position is to fulfill healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements to gain access to facilities and organizations within the assigned territory. These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screenings, and proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases.

• Strong business acumen with the analytical ability to assess diverse data sets using various tools and define account/program strategies that align with business objectives.

• Capability to demonstrate an understanding of how to effectively meet customer needs in a complex environment through innovative, forward-thinking strategies that align with both company and customer objectives.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead without direct authority, having experience in successfully developing teams on complex projects or challenges to achieve results.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

• Persistence and resilience with a strong record of success in challenging environments.

• Experience in Oncology Sales or specific clinical experience in Oncology.

• Experience in Account Management across any industry.

• Familiarity with Specialty Pharmacy.

• Background in the healthcare industry, particularly in roles involving patient interaction or consulting for healthcare companies.

• Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or other advanced degree.
