This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• The On-Premise Channel Manager will oversee the implementation of on-premise strategic initiatives in the Rochester market.
• Manage distributor relationships on a daily basis, ensuring compliance with brand policies, achieving distribution goals, and facilitating promotional activities.
• Train distributor sales teams, monitor competitive market trends, and assess distributor performance against our initiatives.
• Engage with key on-premise accounts in the designated area to foster strong collaborative relationships.
• Promote and leverage our brands to boost volume and assist distributors in achieving our objectives.
• Maintain a visible presence at the distributor office, collaborating with sales representatives and management to ensure brand awareness.
• Align with significant local events and participate when opportunities align with our strategy, including the execution of national initiatives in your local market.
• Serve as the primary contact for distributor sales teams to keep them informed about local and national objectives and programs while offering support for all sales-related efforts.
• Conduct product seminars at accounts and with distributor sales teams.
• Provide updates on National Account Mandate compliance as necessary.
• Stay abreast of customer and consumer trends.
• Maintain an activities and promotions calendar to ensure effective communication between distributors and third-party agencies.
• Submit monthly market activity reports to the supervisor, detailing objectives, achievements, competitive activity, special projects, and any specific requests.
• Provide the supervisor with market and competitive brand updates, ensuring timely and accurate communication regarding changes in field conditions that may impact volumes and staffing adjustments at distributors and competitors.
• Review program execution updates with distributor management.
• Offer insights on the effectiveness of marketing and sales initiatives, including programs, POS, advertising, etc.
• Assist with special projects, such as verifying pricing and distribution at on-premise accounts as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field; equivalent years of relevant work experience may be considered.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the distilled spirits/wine supplier industry.
• Strong analytical skills, particularly in gathering data from diverse sources and presenting it in formats suitable for various audiences.
• Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, including strategies and tactics for promoting and selling products or services, product demonstrations, and sales control systems.
• Effective managerial skills and strong presentation abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
