This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Formulate and implement the comprehensive data partnerships strategy for the group, in line with the 5-year valuation goals.
• Identify and engage with data holders within the automotive sector, including OEMs, insurers, DMS providers, and public institutions.
• Craft a customized narrative for each stakeholder type; for OEMs, the value proposition focuses on strategic benefits rather than financial ones (market protection, quality of the vehicle fleet).
• Negotiate and finalize data partnerships that grant us direct access to vehicle history through the VIN.
• Lead intricate negotiations and extended sales cycles with major players in the industry.
• Cultivate and sustain a network of essential contacts throughout the European automotive landscape.
• Keep abreast of industry developments, technologies, and regulatory changes (GDPR, vehicle data access rights).
• Collaborate with the Tech team to guarantee the seamless integration of new data sources.
• Establish and maintain dashboards to monitor KPIs associated with data partnerships.
• Act as the representative for the Data Partnerships function to the CEO and participate in long-term strategic planning.
• Over 15 years of experience in the automotive industry or automotive data sector.
• A well-established network with OEMs and key stakeholders in the industry (insurers, DMS, public institutions).
• Proven experience in negotiating and executing at least one data partnership with an OEM.
• Comprehensive understanding of the automotive data ecosystem, which includes OEMs, DMS, insurance, and public data sources.
• Strong grasp of contractual and regulatory frameworks pertaining to vehicle data (GDPR, data access, data sharing agreements).
• Capability to engage in integration discussions with a technical team (APIs, data formats, data volumes).
• Robust analytical abilities: KPI tracking and evaluating partnership performance.
• Strong commercial and business development mindset - adept at persuasion and closing deals.
• Leadership qualities and strategic insight: capable of navigating lengthy sales cycles and complex negotiations.
• High level of autonomy: capable of managing a project from start to finish without requiring micro-management.
• Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial setting where new frameworks are being established.
• Exceptional communication skills: able to adjust your communication style from an OEM executive to an integration engineer.
• Fluent in English (mandatory) - the market is European.
• Fluent in French (preferred) - a significant portion of our business operates in France.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
