This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with both new clients and existing accounts.
• Regularly meet with clients to showcase and explain the advantages of Merit products.
• Identify potential customers and introduce them to the offerings of Merit.
• Monitor client satisfaction and seek opportunities to enhance it.
• Create tailored drawings for custom kits or manifolds.
• Prepare and submit pricing contracts.
• Follow up with clients to boost sales volume and profitability.
• Address manufacturing or delivery issues with clients.
• Collaborate with Merit marketing and sales teams on product shipments, new offerings, customer feedback, and innovations.
• Make product pricing decisions within authorized limits.
• Compile monthly reports detailing sales results, contacts, product requirements, and procedural improvements.
• Engage in sales training and planning meetings.
• Keep abreast of Merit and competitor products.
• Set and reach sales performance objectives.
• Explore ways to enhance market share, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Travel by vehicle, plane, bus, and other means to fulfill sales responsibilities with clients.
• Perform additional sales-related tasks as needed.
• Education and experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.
• At least three years of direct sales experience, ideally in medical product sales.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to grasp customer needs within a sales context.
• High personal motivation and a drive to achieve objectives.
• Exceptional oral presentation abilities.
• Capability to think on one’s feet, analyze issues, and articulate solutions to medical technicians and clinicians.
• Willingness to learn about medical equipment and identify potential usage enhancements.
• Strong team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in business mathematics for understanding percentages and financial data.
• Excellent personal organization skills, including information recording and reporting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work extended hours as necessary.
• Excellent driving record: no accidents in the past three years or no more than one traffic citation during that period.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs., writing, sitting, standing, bending, visual acuity, color perception, depth perception, reading, peripheral vision, and fine motor skills.
