This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Develop, implement, and oversee various account strategies aimed at enhancing growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction while coordinating all sales efforts and addressing customer issues.
• Support project quotations, order management, customer training, and demand generation to establish ABB as the preferred vendor.
• Act as the primary contact for OEM customers, leading strategic account planning, ensuring customer satisfaction, and resolving issues.
• Formulate and implement sales and account strategies—including prioritizing opportunities, creating training plans, and executing recovery actions—to meet growth, margin, and market share objectives.
• Identify and acquire new OEM customers through proactive outreach, networking, and cross-functional collaboration while observing competitive activities and market trends.
• Relay customer needs internally and enhance value through coordinated sales initiatives, cross-selling, and a comprehensive understanding of customer business drivers.
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (preferred) or Business with 1+ years of experience, OR an Associate's Degree with 3+ years of experience, OR a High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in the electrical industry.
• Direct sales experience within the electrical industry is highly preferred.
• Proven strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities to all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving, selling, and negotiation skills.
• Capability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Broad business knowledge with the ability to plan and implement strategic actions.
• Willingness to travel within the territory as required - approximately 50% of the time.
• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
