Occupational Therapist – Virtual Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions, encompassing strategies for ADL/IADL, equipment suggestions, and modifications to home environments.

• Employ a collaborative and interdisciplinary method in care and services.

• Advocate for a restorative health approach through interventions, health coaching, and support for self-management.

• Leverage digital platforms for care delivery, collaboration, documentation, and intervention purposes.

• Empower clients to continue residing at home when it aligns with their personal aspirations.

• Active registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.

• Commitment to a person- and family-centered approach to care.

• Demonstrated passion and empathy in providing client care.

• Strong judgment and critical thinking skills in making client care decisions.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Capacity to work both collaboratively and independently.

• Commitment to home-care advocacy, enabling clients to stay in their homes.

• Ability to provide virtual support to clients in Waterloo and Southwest Ontario.
