This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate cases, summarize pertinent facts, identify issues, and either approve or deny requested treatments.

• Provide comprehensive written clinical rationales for cases related to California Workers’ Compensation.

• Review, organize, and assess medical records relevant to California workers’ compensation cases.

• Ensure compliance with review timeliness and applicable standards.

• Achieve production and quality benchmarks.

• Conduct legal research, general medical inquiries, and other assigned special projects.

• Enhance the California IMR project as well as other specialized initiatives.

• Become a subject matter expert by utilizing job aids and learning resources.

• Perform thorough cognitive performance evaluations using standardized assessment tools and validated neurocognitive testing platforms.

• Execute occupational analysis of mission tasks and identify task-person-environment discrepancies.

• Recognize cognitive readiness risk factors including sleep disruption, operational fatigue, stress load, and history of mild traumatic brain injury.

• Translate findings from cognitive assessments into performance applications relevant to missions.

• Create tailored cognitive performance plans focusing on executive functioning, attention control, stress management, mental agility, and recovery.

• Conduct group-based cognitive training and performance workshops.

• Implement cognitive rehabilitation protocols for operators returning from injury, illness, or cognitive performance decline.

• Provide coaching in training environments during operational tasks.

• Design and execute cognitive skills development programs that align with Special Operations Forces mission requirements.

• Offer services in both garrison and operational training environments as necessary.

• Educate Service Members on cognitive resilience, fatigue management, workload regulation, and recovery techniques.

• Develop proactive initiatives to avert cognitive decline and performance deterioration.

• Collaborate with the Human Performance team and interdisciplinary partners to create individualized and group performance plans.

• Engage in interdisciplinary case conferences, performance evaluations, and care coordination meetings.

• Partner with Cognitive Performance Professionals on resilience programming.

• Provide strategic advice to leadership on aggregate cognitive readiness trends, risk factors, and mitigation strategies while adhering to privacy, confidentiality, and applicable DoD regulations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of consulting experience within the designated field.

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.

• At least 2 years of experience in cognitive rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation, human performance, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist.

• Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in at least one U.S. state or territory.

• Valid NBCOT certification.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance within 6 months of hire; a minimum active Secret clearance is required for the contract.

• Experience working with tactical, military, elite athletic, or high-performance groups.

• Familiarity with neurocognitive testing platforms and the interpretation of performance data.

• Proven expertise in cognitive assessment and intervention techniques.

• Knowledge of operational stress, sleep science, fatigue management, and principles of performance psychology.

• Capability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills appropriate for briefing senior leadership.

• Ability to operate independently in dynamic, high-tempo settings.

• Access to reliable high-speed internet service.

• Minimum 20 Mbps download speed, or 50 Mbps for shared internet connectivity.

• Minimum 5 Mbps upload speed.
