Nutrition Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Conduct patient consultations through telehealth while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that includes medical professionals and exercise physiologists.

• Deliver exceptional care and achieve optimal outcomes for patients by engaging with them in both real-time and asynchronous formats.

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to treating obesity as a medical condition, aiming to enhance chronic health issues related to weight, such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, and more.

• Enjoy a flexible work schedule with the option to work remotely.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a 4-year degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, along with at least 1 year of experience in coaching lifestyle and habit changes through nutrition and exercise.

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and/or Nutritional Science.

• At least 1 year of experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian, particularly with patients dealing with Diabetes or other metabolic conditions.

• Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) in good standing.

• Familiarity with clinical competencies in accordance with the Nutrition Care Standards set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• High proficiency and experience with medical technology, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and mobile applications.

• Required skills in collaboration and problem-solving.

• Capability to manage a substantial patient load and navigate multiple platforms for both face-to-face and app-based communication.

• Strong ability to empathize with and connect with patients over a long-term basis.

• Experience and comfort in utilizing our proprietary technology app.

• Previous startup experience is a plus but not mandatory.
