• Play an essential role in ensuring that customers are adequately supplied with Abbott Nutrition samples and materials, as well as educating them on their usage.
• Keep real-time records of sampling and sales activities (utilizing salesforce.com, making pre-post call entries, and maintaining a key HCP list, among others).
• Develop a comprehensive business plan for the territory and conduct thorough analysis of territory KPIs while effectively leveraging dashboards to assess progress and determine subsequent steps.
• Capability to sell to healthcare professionals.
• Present both adult and pediatric product lines to community-based healthcare professionals (GP, RN, and RD).
• Maximize the use of samples and materials to encourage recommendations and trials.
• Optimize call coverage with geopoint and log all call details in SFDC in real-time.
• Monitor activities and trends within the field.
• Keep SFDC updated (including calendar, accounts, contacts).
• Analyze pre-post calls to establish objectives with accounts and contacts.
• Assess KPIs to ensure that all territory trends are considered.
• Revise the territory business plan (including budgets, action plans for key customers, key list assessments versus call averages, and results analysis, etc.).
• Prepare and deliver territory business reviews to the RSM.
• Maintain the locker in an organized manner and manage the inventory of samples and promotional materials.
• Prepare and present a coverage plan to the RSM.
• Conduct locker inventory reconciliations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or science is required - a background in nutrition is a plus.
• 1 to 3 years of sales experience.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Ability to quickly build relationships and gain access to customers.
• Proficient in basic computer software such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as Outlook and Salesforce.com.
• Flexible in scheduling and capable of working independently.
• Strong skills in territory management.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license at all times.
• Ability to lift, carry, and manage car stock and sample deliveries to customers.
• Willingness to undertake overnight trips, with travel potentially representing up to 10% of the time, depending on the territory.
