This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Analyze medical records, treatment plans, and diagnostic data to evaluate functional capacity and the duration of disability.
• Engage with claim professionals and healthcare providers to assess medical conditions and the suitability of treatments.
• Partner with claimants, doctors, employers, and vocational specialists to facilitate recovery and develop return-to-work strategies.
• Detect medical issues, discrepancies, or limitations that could influence claim eligibility or outcomes.
• Offer medical education, consultations, and disability prevention assistance to internal teams and employer groups.
• Assist in disability claim decisions and support claimants in achieving safe and prompt return-to-work results.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in clinical nursing, hospital settings, utilization review, quality management, case management, or related healthcare fields.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Proven experience in reviewing medical records and evaluating functional capacity, treatment plans, and disability-related medical issues.
• Understanding of disability management, return-to-work strategies, and medical case management.
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, claim professionals, employers, and other stakeholders.
• Willingness to obtain a Certified Case Manager (CCM) or Certified Professional Disability Management (CPDM) certification within two years of employment.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, along with verification of employment, education, and licenses.
• Must be bondable.
