This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +1 more state.
• Conduct and/or assess MCNP and SCALE analyses related to criticality safety, radiation shielding, and isotopic inventories stemming from depletion/transmutation analyses linked to reactor operations.
• Create and/or evaluate nuclear safety documentation that adheres to the criteria, requirements, and standards applicable to both DOE and commercial sectors.
• Execute tasks in accordance with established quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Carry out necessary verification and validation for utilized software.
• Provide support to clients located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Idaho Falls, Idaho, and other remote sites.
• Maintain a work schedule from Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours each week.
• Bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering.
• At least 10 years of pertinent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Successful completion of a drug screening is necessary.
• Proficient in MCNP and SCALE analyses.
• Capability to perform work in line with quality assurance procedures and processes.
