This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Promote Acadia products to healthcare professionals (HCPs) both in-person and virtually, delivering clinical, disease state, and reimbursement information in a compliant and client-focused manner.
• Create and implement a territory business plan aimed at achieving or surpassing sales targets, utilizing market data, customer insights, and quarterly action plans.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with HCPs, including key opinion leaders, advocacy groups, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and objections with advanced dialogue and selling techniques.
• Customize approved sales aids, clinical reprints, and brand materials to cater to specific customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams (such as managed markets, operations, sales training, and marketing) to provide coordinated solutions.
• Offer guidance on product pricing, reimbursement, and specialty distribution channels, serving as a liaison between customers and the Company for access-related matters.
• Diligently track and report sales activities, business expenses, and customer interactions in a timely manner.
• Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibitions, and training sessions; participate in national, regional, and local meetings as required.
• Mentor and train new sales specialists as needed, and contribute to cross-functional projects and strategic insights from the field.
• A bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a focus on the life sciences.
• For the Sales Specialist position, a minimum of 3 years of sales experience is required, including at least 1 year in pharmaceutical and/or related healthcare sales, with a preference for neuroscience experience.
• To qualify for the Senior Specialist level, at least 8 years of healthcare sales experience is required, with a minimum of 2 years in complex or account-based selling environments.
• To qualify for the Executive level, a minimum of 12 years of healthcare sales experience is necessary, with at least 3 years in complex or account-based selling settings.
• Proven advanced selling capabilities, leadership qualities, and business acumen are essential.
• Track record of successfully influencing diverse HCP audiences across various care settings.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills are required.
• Ability to work autonomously, adapt to change, and consistently achieve high results.
• Candidates must reside within the territory (or within 30 miles of its border) and hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to meet travel requirements, which may include significant driving, overnight stays, and air travel as needed.
• Compliance with vaccination requirements for access to HCP offices, long-term care facilities, and medical conferences is mandatory.
