• Promote Acadia products to healthcare professionals (HCPs) both in-person and virtually, delivering clinical, disease state, and reimbursement information in a compliant and customer-centric manner.
• Create and implement a territory business plan to achieve or surpass sales targets, utilizing market data, customer insights, and quarterly action plans.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with HCPs, including key opinion leaders, advocacy groups, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and objections with advanced dialogue and selling techniques.
• Customize approved sales aids, clinical reprints, and brand materials to cater to specific customer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., managed markets, operations, sales training, marketing) to provide coordinated solutions.
• Offer guidance on product pricing, reimbursement, and specialty distribution channels, serving as a liaison between customers and the company for access-related matters.
• Diligently track and report sales activities, business expenses, and customer interactions in a timely fashion.
• Act as a representative of Acadia at conferences, exhibitions, and training sessions; participate in national, regional, and local meetings as needed.
• Mentor and train new sales specialists when required, and contribute to cross-functional projects and field strategic insights.
• A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a focus on life sciences.
• For the Sales Specialist position, 1-2 years of sales experience is necessary, with at least 1 year in pharmaceutical and/or related healthcare sales, ideally with a focus on neuroscience.
• To qualify for the Sr. Specialist level, a minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare sales is required, including at least 2 years in complex or account-based selling environments.
• To qualify for the Executive level, a minimum of 12 years of healthcare sales experience is required, with at least 3 years in complex or account-based selling environments.
• Proven advanced selling skills, leadership capabilities, and business acumen are essential.
• Demonstrated success in influencing diverse HCP audiences across various care settings.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills are required.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and consistently deliver high results.
• Must reside within the territory (or within 30 miles of its border) and hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to meet travel requirements, including significant driving and overnight stays; air travel as needed.
• Must adhere to vaccination requirements for access to HCP offices, long-term care facilities, and medical conferences.
