Networking and Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Integrate, install, and configure secure local area networks, IT equipment, and applications.

• Provide on-site technical support and remote assistance to existing clients.

• Analyze and troubleshoot network communication and security challenges across various technologies.

• Liaise with vendors to resolve intricate issues.

• Automate and document selected network tasks.

• Maintain and oversee systems and applications.

• Diagnose and resolve network-related operational incidents.

• Draft deployment procedures and various technical documentation.

• Log incidents and service requests within the ticketing system.

• Keep stakeholders updated on the status of their requests by clearly communicating diagnoses and solutions.

• Update information pertaining to completed interventions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional proficiency with the Fortinet environment: Fortinet Firewall, Switch, AP, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.

• Strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocol.

• Good comprehension of SSL and IPSec VPNs.

• Significant experience managing firewall policies.

• Sound knowledge of LAN/WAN networks and networking equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.

• Experience with Wi-Fi technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of server infrastructures, SAN, and NAS storage.

• Experience working with Cisco, Fortinet, and Brocade equipment.

• Familiarity with Windows Active Directory and Microsoft Azure environments.

• Ability to document procedures and update architectural diagrams.

• Fortinet and Azure certifications are advantageous.

• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, one week per month.
