Network Support Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee, assist, and resolve issues related to enterprise routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, firewall, and telecommunications infrastructures.

• Set up and provide support for Cisco Catalyst, Cisco DNA Center, Meraki, Silver Peak (EdgeConnect), Cradlepoint, Palo Alto, and Prisma networking and security systems.

• Address and rectify network incidents such as node outages, interface failures, BGP routing complications, WAN connectivity issues, packet loss, latency problems, and security-related network occurrences.

• Assist with BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, ACLs, QoS, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and network segmentation technologies.

• Leverage SolarWinds and various network analysis tools to monitor performance, detect issues, and sustain operational stability.

• Administer ISP circuits, MPLS, broadband, LTE, SD-WAN, and carrier services.

• Execute network hardware installations, firmware upgrades, lifecycle replacements, and configuration modifications.

• Keep network documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures up to date.

• Deliver tier-2 and tier-3 support for escalated network incidents and service requests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting enterprise network environments.

• Proven experience with Cisco Catalyst switching, Cisco DNA Center, Meraki, Palo Alto, Prisma, routing, wireless, and SD-WAN technologies.

• Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and WAN connectivity.

• Proficient in troubleshooting BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, carrier circuits, and network security technologies.

• Familiarity with SolarWinds and network monitoring platforms.

• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• Valid Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, or equivalent certifications.

• Experience in supporting large multi-site enterprise networks.

• Knowledge of network security technologies, firewalls, NAC, Prisma, and segmentation.
