Network Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Ensure the accessibility, scalability, performance, and security of the company's multi-tenant network infrastructure.

• Provide expertise in the implementation of new customer networking components, including VPNs, Firewall rules, MPLS, and more.

• Maintain dependable and effective network solutions that support the company's strategic vision, customer environments, and industry best practices.

• Ensure all solutions are thoroughly documented and that staff receive appropriate training in their application.

• Participate in the ITSM and ISMS governance processes established by the organization.

• Enhance job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

• Seek opportunities to deliver additional value to the company and its clients.

• Provide 24/7 escalation support to the Service Desk as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-3+ years of experience as a Network Administrator in either an Enterprise or Service Provider setting.

• Hands-on experience with platforms such as Next Generation Firewalls: Fortigate, Juniper, or Cisco.

• Experience with SDN: NSX-T.

• Familiarity with Load Balancing technologies: F5, NGINX, NSX.

• Advanced knowledge of Core Switching: Cisco Nexus.

• Experience with WAN solutions: Juniper MX.

• Strong business analysis skills and experience, including the development of business cases, requirements capture, process modeling, end-user training, and documentation.

• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork abilities.

• Must be eligible for federal government “reliability” status.

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
