This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +1 more state.
• Design, implement, and maintain IP/MPLS core network solutions.
• Test and verify new technologies and architectures within laboratory settings.
• Create engineering plans, estimates, and installation packages.
• Offer escalation and troubleshooting assistance for network operations teams.
• Work collaboratively across teams to guarantee a dependable, scalable, and high-performing network.
• Over 4 years of experience in a carrier Ethernet or large ISP setting.
• Profound knowledge of IP networking and network engineering principles.
• Practical experience with routers and switches (Nokia/Alcatel).
• Comprehensive understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and ISIS.
• Familiarity with MPLS technologies like RSVP and LDP.
• Experience with Layer 2 technologies including VLANs, STP, LACP, and MC-LAG.
• Capability to design networks that are scalable, highly available, and secure.
• Certifications such as Nokia NRS 1 or 2 are a plus.
