Network IP Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain IP/MPLS core network solutions.

• Test and validate new technologies and architectures within lab environments.

• Create engineering plans, estimates, and installation packages.

• Offer escalation and troubleshooting support for network operations teams.

• Work collaboratively across teams to ensure a reliable, scalable, and high-performing network.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in a carrier Ethernet or large ISP setting.

• Strong command of IP networking and network engineering principles.

• Practical experience with routers and switches (Nokia/Alcatel).

• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and ISIS.

• Familiarity with MPLS technologies (RSVP, LDP).

• Experience with Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, LACP, MC-LAG).

• Capability to design scalable, highly available, and secure networks.

• Certifications like Nokia NRS 1 or 2 are considered a plus.
