Network Engineer, Global Sensor Network

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +30 more states.

📋 Description

• As a Network Engineer on the Global Sensor Network (GSN) Operations team, you will play a crucial role in deploying, maintaining, securing, and enhancing the networks that support Slingshot’s remote sensor infrastructure globally.

• You will act as a primary technical escalation point for site connectivity and infrastructure challenges, while also contributing to the formulation of the future architecture for scalable, resilient, and secure remote operations.

• This position is situated at the crossroads of networking, infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity, supporting mission-critical environments that facilitate real-time space domain awareness and global sensor operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in deploying, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise or remote-site network infrastructure.

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, and firewall policies.

• Practical experience with firewall technologies, preferably Palo Alto Networks.

• Familiarity with Cisco Meraki networking platforms and hybrid cloud connectivity solutions.

• Experience in troubleshooting IPsec VPN tunnels and AWS networking environments, including VPCs, routing tables, and security groups.

• Proficient in working with Linux-based systems within networked infrastructure settings.

• Capability to independently diagnose complex issues and drive incidents to resolution.

• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills across different functions.

• Ability to work effectively in remote or distributed operational settings.
