Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable and effective network solutions to fulfill business requirements.

• Configure and set up network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Establish and oversee network security protocols to safeguard against unauthorized access and cyber threats.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate hardware, software, and network challenges.

• Monitor network performance utilizing various diagnostic tools and promptly address any issues that arise.

• Lead and manage IT projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting aspects.

• Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.

• Identify opportunities for automation, process enhancement, and innovation.

• Develop and uphold disaster recovery plans and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; or equivalent training and/or experience.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a management-level IT role within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Advanced understanding of enterprise network architecture, including WAN/LAN, data center, cloud networking, SD-WAN, and core infrastructure technologies.

• Familiarity with network security principles such as segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure connectivity, and disaster recovery/business continuity practices.

• Capability to design, implement, and optimize complex network environments focusing on performance, scalability, QoS, and capacity planning.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose complex network issues, interpret performance data, and apply root-cause solutions.

• Capacity to lead technical initiatives, collaborate across IT and business teams, and effectively convey technical concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
