This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Utilize Network Engineering expertise to create solution designs as a key member of the senior delivery team.
• Collaborate with partner delivery teams to design and implement modern, scalable networks, incorporating a variety of new and emerging technologies, including automation.
• Take the lead on all aspects of Network management and acceptance, establishing standards and providing your in-depth technical knowledge to Leidos programme teams.
• Apply the principles of verification and validation to develop applicable Network Designs across various subject areas.
• Work alongside customers on every facet of Network management, ensuring the assurance and integration of Network services to fulfill the requirements of multiple business lines.
• Identify and seize business opportunities by leveraging best practices in engineering and design.
• Communicate proficiently across organizational, technical, and political boundaries, while understanding the broader context.
• Extensive knowledge and proven experience with data centre and campus networking technologies, including Cisco (routing, switching, firewalls), Palo Alto (Next Gen firewalls), F5 (global and local load balancing), and encryption.
• Strong comprehension of routing protocols (both static and dynamic) within data centre, campus, and wide area networks.
• Experience and proficiency in networking, particularly L2/3 networking and routing.
• Significant experience in operating high availability data centre networks that support critical workloads on Windows, Linux, and SAN, including technical refresh of numerous devices.
• Solid experience with monitoring and management tools such as Solarwinds, FMC, and Panorama.
• Good general knowledge of Windows Server Environments (including OS build, AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPO) and Linux (RHEL) data centre server infrastructures.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents to ensure resolution meets customer satisfaction.
