Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, operation, and ongoing enhancement of our Back-of-house networks within Managed properties, contact centers, and corporate offices, ensuring optimal availability, performance, and security across our data center environments.

• Design, implement, and support both new and existing services for clients and business partners.

• Enhance the performance and availability of current networks and services.

• Research, document, track, publish, maintain, and deliver comprehensive network policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with management to refine processes, procedures, and minimize inefficiencies.

• Encourage innovative thinking—textbook solutions may not always be the optimal choice.

• Mentor, train, and support team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.

• Over 7 years of experience with switches, firewalls (Cisco ASA/FTD/Fortinet), and security principles.

• Familiarity with Cisco Meraki or similar cloud-managed networking platforms.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.

• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar) is advantageous.

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.

• Experience in hybrid cloud networking environments.
