Network Architecture – Discovery Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Lead the upstream data team to extract, normalize, and validate legacy network configurations from acquired companies, identifying IP conflicts and hardware constraints.

• Evaluate intricate, custom-designed legacy networks and align them with our standardized target-state architectural frameworks.

• Conduct focused interviews with client subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess whether complex routing or firewall configurations are influenced by stringent regulatory requirements (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2) or historical design decisions.

• Draft and maintain the Master Requirements Document, securing the technical scope and delivery baseline for the migration execution teams.

• Integrate fragmented findings into centralized executive dashboards, offering the PMO and client leadership a unified view of technical debt and migration readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience as an Enterprise Network Architect, Solutions Architect, or Technical Lead in complex telecommunications, ISP, or M&A network environments.

• Must possess a deep comprehension of enterprise networking concepts (BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN, Firewalls, SIP) to effectively challenge local engineers and convert technical debt into business risks. (Active or expired CCNP certification is highly advantageous).

• Demonstrated ability to interview technical SMEs, extract business requirements, and convert them into formal architecture designs utilizing Visio or Lucidchart.

• Experience in managing technical intake pipelines and overseeing dependencies using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
