This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Design, plan, and enhance enterprise network infrastructure.
• Formulate strategies for network systems utilizing both current and emerging technologies, including wireless solutions.
• Convert business and operational requirements into network architecture and design.
• Suggest network hardware, system management software, and architectural solutions.
• Approve and adjust network architecture to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, hubs, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and carry out capacity planning.
• Assess emerging technologies and propose new solutions for enterprise implementation.
• Execute advanced troubleshooting for complex network issues.
• Create automated troubleshooting scripts and resolution procedures.
• Provide second-level technical support to internal teams and external customers.
• Oversee the Service Desk ticketing system and respond as per SLAs.
• Ensure system availability, security, and confidentiality throughout the network environment.
• Act as Project Leader or Subject Matter Expert (SME) on enterprise networking initiatives.
• Tackle high-complexity technical issues involving various technologies and business units.
• Define enterprise-wide network architectures and design frameworks.
• Mentor and guide junior technical staff.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and initiatives.
• Adhere to established team processes and operational procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for network systems and processes.
• Engage in change management processes.
• Assist in hardware procurement and maintenance renewals.
• Track project time for professional services billing.
• Develop quality control methods to ensure system outputs align with organizational standards.
• Uphold network security standards and readiness for incident response.
• Participate in Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) activities.
• Take part in Continuity of Operations (COOP) exercises and disaster recovery operations.
• Be available for on-call support and emergency response.
• Respond to emergencies, including disasters or system outages, as required.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR
• High school diploma/equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience, OR
• Equivalent combination of education and professional experience totaling 10 years.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of OSPF and BGP routing protocols in large enterprise settings.
• Experience transitioning from SonicWall NSA firewalls to Palo Alto firewalls.
• Capability to analyze business requirements and assess technical solutions.
• Excellent documentation and technical writing abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within small teams.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to maintain professional relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls.
• Familiarity with Cisco Systems Nexus and ACI.
• Experience with F5 Big-IP LTM.
• Background in managing multi-tenant data center networks.
• Industry certifications from vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, or F5.
• 24/7 Tier III enterprise data center environment.
• Requires on-call availability and emergency response support.
• May necessitate working beyond normal business hours during incidents or disaster recovery operations.
