Network Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic and technical leadership across enterprise network and connectivity environments.

• Design and govern secure, high-performance network architectures.

• Define future-state network architecture encompassing on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.

• Develop and uphold the enterprise network architecture strategy, principles, and target-state designs.

• Offer direction and oversight to network engineering and infrastructure teams.

• Lead the modernization of network environments, including SD-WAN and edge computing.

• Design and implement hybrid connectivity solutions across on-premise and cloud platforms.

• Define network security architecture that includes segmentation strategies and zero-trust principles.

• Integrate advanced security platforms into network designs.

• Support the development of business cases and cost models for network investments.

• Provide expert advisory services to senior leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP or CCIE, Palo Alto Networks PCNSE, Juniper JNCIE, or equivalent are preferred.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale enterprise network architectures.

• Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load-balancing technologies.

• Experience with SD-WAN, cloud networking, and network virtualization solutions.

• Strong understanding of network security protocols and zero-trust architectures.

• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional network initiatives from concept to delivery.
