This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee, engineer, and direct all VPN operations within the environment.
• Implement network monitoring for newly installed and replaced devices.
• Provide support and management for Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) sites.
• Maintain and support network equipment and configurations (routers and routing).
• Employ and apply network orchestration tools and techniques to enable automated and consistent configurations, management, testing, deployment, and operations of physical and virtual devices within the network.
• Monitor status, errors, and inbound and outbound traffic statistics for all routing interfaces, including bandwidth usage and errors of all inbound and outbound LAN/WAN circuits.
• Offer consulting services to professional staff and clients in the analysis and design of data processing systems, management systems, scientific systems, and other related domains.
• Provide technical direction, guidance, and support to assigned projects, recommending effective approaches and methods for problem-solving.
• Analyze, diagnose, and propose solutions to intricate issues.
• Elevate concerns to vendors and third-party entities as necessary and as directed by the Government.
• Create and update network documentation in collaboration with onsite installation teams.
• Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and client personnel at all levels.
• Generate knowledge base articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Possess a Public Trust Clearance.
• Hold an ITILv4 Foundation Certification within 120 days of the start date.
• Have prior experience with TrustSec.
• Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in VPN with experience in an enterprise environment.
• Have previous experience with vulnerability patching.
• Have experience supporting and operating Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) sites.
• Design and develop solutions for complex application challenges, system administration issues, or network concerns.
• Demonstrate a proven ability to work independently in a fully or partially remote setting with minimal supervision and may supervise or lead others.
• Exhibit strong communication skills in both oral and written forms, effectively engaging with all levels of staff and clients.
• Adhere to standard working hours as per the DIGIT contract and be available for meetings and collaborative efforts during those hours.
