This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee daily operations for both onshore and offshore development teams.
• Administer staffing requirements, capacity planning, resource distribution, and talent retention initiatives.
• Establish and execute engineering best practices, development standards, and performance metrics.
• Guarantee that engineering squads consistently achieve sprint objectives, roadmap commitments, and delivery milestones.
• Collaborate with System and Innovation Architects to evaluate existing software designs and mitigate technical debt.
• Propel the development of scalable, maintainable component architectures that facilitate long-term product growth.
• Advocate for robust software engineering methodologies, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure optimal availability, performance, reliability, and stability across network service applications.
• Cultivate an environment of accountability, open communication, and predictable execution throughout all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Direct software engineers in the design, development, automation, and support of enterprise network infrastructure and network management platforms.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance network operations through software-driven solutions and DevOps methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in network engineering, software engineering, or network operations.
• At least 3 years of experience in people management or technical leadership.
• Profound understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Proficient as a Java Developer, with strong skills in writing complex SQL queries, relational database design, and project build management using Maven.
• Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of cloud networking technologies in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Acquainted with modern frontend technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, and Angular.
• Experience in building, maintaining, or utilizing Network and Systems Management (NMS/SMS) platforms.
• Direct experience in implementing, securing, and maintaining production-level CI/CD automation pipelines.
• Familiarity with ITSM frameworks, such as Incident Management, Change Management, and Service Request workflows.
• Formal ITSM certification, such as ITIL Foundation or higher, is highly preferred.
