Manager, Software Engineering – App Experiences

📋 Description

• Lead and develop a well-rounded team of engineers by establishing clear expectations, providing direct feedback, and fostering career growth.

• Take ownership of the team's technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap.

• Align technical initiatives with customer trust and business impact objectives, including redesigns and structural enhancements.

• Empower technical leads and engineers to uphold design and quality standards.

• Facilitate technical design and ensure cross-functional alignment.

• Manage the availability, reliability, and performance of critical consumer systems.

• Engage in on-call duties and incident response while minimizing operational burdens.

• Drive organizational alignment and influence partner experience and foundational team roadmaps.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, and Engineering teams on cross-functional projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 3 years of experience in managing and developing engineering teams.

• Demonstrated success in delivering consumer-facing software.

• Proven ability to drive execution amidst ambiguity.

• Strong technical judgment regarding architecture, quality, and reliability decisions.

• Experience leading substantial technical initiatives from inception to completion.

• Familiarity with contemporary full-stack development.

• Proficient with declarative UI frameworks such as React or React Native.

• Experience with backend-for-frontend architectures.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and organizational influence skills.

• Capacity to build consensus and drive results without direct authority.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
