This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Execute application implementations adhering to 12-factor principles while enhancing product features.
• Take ownership of the entire software product stack, encompassing both web and mobile frontends as well as backend services.
• Employ test-driven development and continuous integration practices to promote product agility and ensure high-quality results.
• Contribute insights into product architecture and design.
• Collaborate with team members to address challenges and select suitable technologies and designs.
• Engage in daily paired programming and test-driven development practices.
• Implement product strategies while keeping customer needs at the forefront.
• Act as a subject matter expert in a specific business domain and provide leadership in at least one technology stack.
• Mentor junior team members on technologies and XP methodologies.
• Establish pipelines for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment.
• Provide support for software products within user environments.
• Lead and participate in daily standups across site, cross-site, and product teams.
• Engage in retrospectives to identify and implement actionable improvements.
• Participate in iteration planning sessions to align on backlog stories and tasks.
• Influence engineering colleagues through pairing to enhance skills and quality.
• Lead incident response efforts and manage root cause analysis in collaboration with the Managing Engineer.
• Spot opportunities to adjust stories or technical methods to expedite outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Managing Engineer to prioritize engineering tasks.
• Decompose work for digital product inception ceremonies.
• Apply enterprise-level standards, tools, and patterns.
• Grasp integration points across both upstream and downstream systems.
• Guide Product Engineers on principles of systems thinking and design.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (preferred).
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, with extensive knowledge of specific technology stacks.
• Familiarity and practical experience with Microsoft technology stacks.
• Experience utilizing Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Messaging System.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud Storage.
• Experience in AWS Integration.
• Proficiency in .NET Core and C#.
• Experience with JavaScript.
• Familiarity with MS SQL Server.
• Experience working with Cosmos DB.
• Knowledge of MongoDB.
• Understanding of application languages, algorithms, database normalization, data structures, and common tools.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to influence engineering peers through collaborative work.
• Comprehension and application of enterprise standards, tools, and patterns.
• In-depth understanding of integration points for upstream and downstream systems.
• Authorization to work in the United States; the company does not provide work visa sponsorship.
