This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and finalize Non-destructive testing projects in the field, aiding engineering evaluations of high-energy and low-temperature boiler components.
• Perform and document field evaluations, concluding field results in collaboration with clients.
• Set up and calibrate Non-destructive testing equipment.
• Execute NDT tests to ensure quality assurance or identify defects.
• Develop examination techniques while complying with safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria based on relevant specifications or standards and assess the results.
• Compile and report test findings.
• Conduct specialized inspections.
• Train and supervise subcontractors as necessary.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor NDT personnel.
• Interact daily with clients regarding work priorities and offer regular progress updates.
• Engage in client programs, planning sessions, and strategy discussions.
• Clarify NDT techniques and outcomes to personnel without NDT backgrounds.
• Travel to field sites as required.
• Be prepared to work on holidays, weekends, and overtime as mandated by field projects.
• Diploma in a technical field from a trade school, vocational program, or military training, along with 2 years of relevant NDT experience, OR a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of pertinent NDT experience.
• At least 2 years of experience successfully carrying out assigned NDT tasks and interpreting inspection outcomes.
• Proficiency in utilizing NDT techniques in power generation, industrial, or manufacturing settings.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficient in English.
• Capability to lead inspection activities and implement inspection plans.
• Advanced experience with Non-destructive testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with various inspection technologies.
• NDT Level II Certification is preferred.
• UT, MT, and PT certifications are advantageous.
• Level II certification in MT, PT, and UT, with the ability to meet company certification criteria, is desired.
• Experience with automated and computer-based NDT equipment.
• Proven track record of supporting clients and generating final reports.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and engineering blueprints.
• Capable of code shooting.
• Strong awareness of safety and quality standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness and capacity to travel.
• Availability and readiness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field projects.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
