This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee and manage category review schedules, internal deadlines, and timelines relevant to our principals to ensure that all requirements, submissions, and follow-ups are completed with accuracy and punctuality.
• Ensure precise, timely, and comprehensive internal reporting and documentation related to key accounts, principals, meetings, action items, and ongoing initiatives to enhance visibility, accountability, and alignment.
• Cultivate and enhance direct relationships with category managers of Key Accounts.
• Establish partnerships and collaborate closely with distributor representatives (UNFI, KeHE, etc.) supporting assigned accounts.
• Foster positive and trusting relationships with all principals.
• Address and resolve concerns promptly and respectfully.
• Collaborate with the team to continuously enhance effectiveness and productivity.
• Take proactive measures in assisting retailers and distributors with store openings, distributor tabletops, Expos, etc.
• Create, propose, and implement promotional plans that drive product placement, velocity, and retailer engagement.
• Monitor and report on competitors’ efforts related to our principals, including new products, pricing, packaging, and promotional activities.
• Work alongside the Green Spoon leadership team to brainstorm ideas for expanding our principals' business and suggest areas for improvement.
• Participate in strategic discussions on managing Supermarket/Conventional business as the convergence of these two channels progresses.
• Attend and engage in all team meetings.
• Present new lines/SKUs for buyer approval at assigned key accounts.
• Ensure optimal placement in planograms.
• Prepare and submit New Items Forms, Distributor and Retail Promotions, etc.
• Arrange key retailer appointments for our principals.
• Attend retailer meetings with principals and collaborate on all communications, meeting summaries, paperwork, and follow-up.
• Positive attitude.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle competing priorities across various retailers and brands.
• Interest in organic food and products.
• Must possess a smartphone and computer to perform job duties.
• Key Account Experience (3+ years of relevant natural/conventional grocery experience selling to HQ).
• A college degree is strongly preferred.
• Experience in organic and natural products is preferred.
