This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and implement the national sales strategy aimed at enhancing revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring long-term business success throughout Canada.
• Convert that strategy into explicit priorities for the Canadian sales team.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing sales team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, trust, and continuous improvement while facilitating talent development and succession planning.
• Take responsibility for achieving annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue goals across all product lines, including strategic growth initiatives such as SaaS offerings.
• Set performance objectives, assess sales effectiveness, and enforce accountability for pipeline development, forecasting accuracy, and business results.
• Create and implement go-to-market strategies that align with corporate goals and address the changing needs of customers, partners, and the market.
• Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and growth strategies to enhance Genetec's position throughout Canada.
• Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with customers, channel partners, consultants, technology partners, industry associations, and key stakeholders to foster business growth and strategic opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Customer Experience, and other cross-functional teams to optimize business outcomes, support market initiatives, and influence product strategy based on customer and market insights.
• Monitor market trends, competitive actions, industry advancements, and customer requirements to guide strategic decision-making and competitive positioning.
• Ensure effective execution of channel programs, partner engagement strategies, project registration processes, and sales best practices.
• Oversee forecasting, business planning, budgeting, territory design, and resource allocation activities, providing regular business updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Ensure the effective use of CRM systems and sales tools to uphold operational excellence, data integrity, and actionable business insights.
• Advocate for alignment between Canadian market priorities and corporate objectives while ensuring strong collaboration with North American leadership and corporate teams.
• Approve strategic account plans, pricing strategies, and commercial initiatives to support company objectives and growth aspirations.
• Promote continuous improvement and lead sustainable growth and change initiatives.
• Continue to foster a culture of performance and collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of sales experience within the technology, software, SaaS, or physical security sector.
• More than 5 years of experience in leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
• A proven history of achieving revenue growth and surpassing sales targets.
• Experience in formulating and executing sales strategies and go-to-market plans.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
• Proven ability to build relationships with executive-level customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Based in a major metropolitan area in Canada, preferably Toronto or Montreal.
• Proficient in English; French proficiency is a significant advantage.
• Valid passport and driver's license, with the capacity to travel up to 75% of the time.
