• Identify and engage new national veterinary practice accounts through direct outreach, industry networking, and the development of partnerships.
• Lead the creation of presentations, proposals, and responses to RFPs for large and intricate accounts.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline and meet growth targets aligned with program objectives.
• Collaborate with marketing and leadership to enhance the value proposition and go-to-market strategy for private equity-backed and multi-location practice groups.
• Act as the senior point of contact for designated key accounts, nurturing long-term relationships founded on trust, expertise, and responsiveness.
• Work closely with practice administrators, CFOs, and risk management professionals to address risks and provide comprehensive insurance solutions.
• Coordinate with Account Managers and Service Teams to ensure smooth onboarding, renewals, and policy servicing.
• Remain informed about M&A activities within the veterinary sector, keeping track of practice acquisitions and new locations to ensure continuity of coverage.
• Collaborate with carrier partners and underwriters to negotiate coverage terms for large accounts.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Veterinary Practice Group's national strategy by identifying emerging risks, market trends, and coverage opportunities within the veterinary and private equity sectors.
• Represent Pearl Insurance at industry events, practice meetings, association gatherings, and private equity conferences.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales or production.
• Proven success in writing complex, multi-state, multi-location accounts.
• In-depth knowledge of Property & Casualty lines, coverage structures, and risk management principles.
• Demonstrated ability to sell consultatively to executive-level buyers and operate within private equity-backed environments.
• Strong financial acumen and proficiency in analyzing loss data, risk exposures, and practice operations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Active Property & Casualty insurance license; professional designations are advantageous.
• Willingness to travel nationally as required.
• In addition to the pay range specified below, this position is also eligible for commission.
