This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate and implement the national convenience channel strategy, encompassing distribution, placement, pricing, and promotional initiatives.
• Identify, prioritize, and secure new chain authorizations with both national and regional convenience retailers.
• Cultivate relationships with key buyers, category managers, and decision-makers within the convenience sector.
• Create scalable go-to-market strategies that drive growth.
• Oversee all facets of strategic account management for national and regional convenience chains.
• Present, negotiate, finalize, and expand new business ventures.
• Develop collaborative business plans that foster mutual growth and enduring partnerships.
• Manage account performance metrics, including revenue, profitability, velocity, promotions, and execution standards.
• Balance overarching strategic planning with daily execution.
• Conduct regular market and store visits to assess performance and pinpoint opportunities.
• Create channel playbooks for pricing, promotions, merchandising, and new product launches.
• Ensure seamless execution from corporate agreements to on-the-ground realities.
• Collaborate with field teams, brokers, distributors, and DSD networks to enhance shelf presence and availability.
• Audit stores, collect market intelligence, and swiftly address execution gaps.
• Monitor merchandising compliance, display effectiveness, and promotional success.
• Utilize available data sources, including POS data, distributor reports, store evaluations, and market insights, to inform decision-making.
• Legal authorization to work for any employer in the USA.
• 7–10+ years of CPG sales experience with a robust focus on the convenience/C-store channel.
• Proven success in winning and expanding a chain business from authorization through to growth and optimization.
• Experience collaborating with or alongside major beverage/snack systems such as PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, or similar organizations is preferred.
• Strong connections within the convenience retail ecosystem.
• Demonstrated ability to establish processes, systems, and channels from the ground up.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for hunting new opportunities.
• Exceptional negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
• Comfortable operating in an unstructured, high-growth startup environment.
• Willingness to travel frequently and dedicate substantial time in-market.
