This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.
• Surpass all performance benchmarks for prospecting, meetings, presentations, proposals, and secured business.
• Initiate and coordinate action plans aimed at increasing market share.
• Identify, qualify, and nurture new business opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategies for sales opportunities and account management.
• Collaborate with ABEC business unit Managers to qualify, cultivate, and secure opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with other offices to enhance activity/results through the leveraging and consistent application of corporate best practice sales processes and initiatives.
• Organize sales calls, analyze competitor activities, and coordinate presentations and proposals.
• Provide regular updates on activities, including forecasts and call reports.
• Offer insights and analysis on market and industry trends.
• Monitor competitive activities as necessary.
• Uphold professional and technical expertise while building essential professional networks.
• Maintain knowledge of customers and territories.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through relationship-building initiatives.
• Manage expenses to adhere to budgetary guidelines.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
• Deliver prompt feedback to senior management.
• Actively contribute to identifying and promoting Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Business, along with a proven track record in consultative sales, including strategic selling and negotiation.
• Relevant work experience in a services industry may also be considered.
• Three to five years of experience in sales within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector or successful outside direct sales experience using consultative and solution-based sales techniques.
• Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Engineering, manufacturing, or biopharmaceuticals.
• Capability to engage and influence decision-makers across various organizational functions (operations, quality, business unit, product development, procurement, engineering, etc.).
• Proven success in a fast-paced, competitive, and deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work cross-functionally within the ABEC organization to achieve desired outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
• Willingness to travel is a requirement for this position, estimated at 60% to 80%.
• At least 2 years of experience with CRM software.
• Familiarity with and prior experience in implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) is a plus.
• Previous experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is also advantageous.
