This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in-store and within outside sales at Home Depot & Lowe’s.
• Deliver training on products with a focus on value upselling through on-site training sessions, seminars, and presentations.
• Collaborate with MET, MST, or in-store staff to maintain and support product bay space, ensuring impactful product placements.
• Organize, down-stock, tidy, and rebox products as necessary.
• Ensure products are set to Plan-O-Gram (POG) standards for proper merchandising.
• Manage POG signage as required.
• Verify inventory accuracy and address discrepancies with the store team when corrections are needed.
• Assist with other inventory support initiatives alongside the store team, ensuring correct counts, appropriate levels, placements, and more.
• Drive new business opportunities by leveraging the Pro In-Store, Outside Sales, or Millwork teams to promote skylights.
• Use the Store Maintenance Report (SMR) to document details from each sales call daily.
• Implement Digital Bay Service Record (BSR) entries for Home Depot and Rate-a-Bay at Lowe’s to enhance impact.
• Engage in grand openings and in-store events, including contractor nights.
• Travel to support other sales representatives in conducting training seminars or participating in local trade shows.
• Organize customer events or participate in customer-oriented events at VELUX facilities as needed.
• An Associates Degree is preferred.
• Familiarity with the building industry is preferred.
• Understanding of the home center channel is preferred.
• Proficient in key technological tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Strong organizational and planning skills are required.
• Proven ability to adhere to detailed and specific procedures.
• Capable of demonstrating a high level of customer focus.
• Possess strong influence and persuasion capabilities.
• Must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to take initiative.
• Enjoy collaborating with others in a team-driven environment.
• Ability to perform the essential functions associated with the position.
