This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• The National Account Manager - Japan is tasked with driving revenue growth throughout Japan by formulating and implementing sales strategies with leading channel partners and their key end customers.
• Emphasize the development of robust relationships with channel partners and their top-performing sales representatives, effectively positioning StarTech.com’s value propositions and product offerings to enhance customer engagement and revenue generation.
• Report directly to the Country Manager - Japan and play an essential role in fortifying the channel ecosystem, unlocking new business avenues, and establishing StarTech.com as a preferred partner for IT connectivity solutions.
• Identify, engage, and onboard new channel partners, overseeing the entire acquisition process.
• Create and implement structured onboarding and enablement plans for strategic partners.
• Lead partner launch initiatives, including training, product positioning, and market alignment.
• Drive early-stage pipeline development and initiate revenue generation from new partners.
• Implement outbound sales strategies to broaden market reach and secure new business opportunities.
• Foster strong engagement with key channel partners through consistent, multi-channel outreach efforts.
• Identify and cultivate new end-customer opportunities via partner networks and direct prospecting.
• Present compelling value propositions across StarTech.com’s product lineup to enhance conversion rates.
• Establish deep relationships with key stakeholders within distribution and partner organizations.
• Collaborate with partner sales teams to access and expand strategic end-customer accounts.
• Recognize revenue gaps and growth opportunities within assigned partners and accounts.
• Reinforce StarTech.com’s reputation as a trusted advisor within the channel ecosystem.
• Build and sustain a strong, qualified sales pipeline encompassing both transactional and project-based opportunities.
• Monitor performance, manage opportunities, and enhance conversion rates utilizing CRM tools.
• Maintain precise forecasting and contribute to strategic sales planning efforts.
• Collaborate with Customer Success teams to ensure robust customer adoption and long-term retention.
• Collect and share market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to inform business strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Over 10 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development, preferably within the IT, technology, or hardware sectors.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth through channel partners and direct customer engagement in Japan.
• A hunter mentality with robust outbound sales, prospecting, and new business development expertise.
• Demonstrated capability to build and manage strategic relationships with partners and customers.
• Experience in managing a structured sales pipeline utilizing CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365) to monitor opportunities, assess performance, and optimize conversion rates.
• Proficient in identifying and securing new accounts through cold calling, multi-channel outreach, and strategic networking.
