• Oversee and expand strategic national accounts within North America
• Cultivate and sustain strong customer relationships at various organizational levels, including executive leadership
• Develop and implement strategic account plans aimed at growth, profitability, customer retention, and fostering long-term partnerships
• Work collaboratively with operations, manufacturing, customer service, finance, and leadership teams to support customer initiatives and deliver effective solutions
• Conduct customer business reviews that concentrate on sales performance, quality, delivery, and opportunities for value generation
• Track customer trends, competitive activities, market conditions, and business opportunities to aid in strategic planning
• Organize pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and sales forecasting activities across assigned accounts
• Identify and create value-added solutions and cost-saving opportunities that align with customer goals and total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives
• Act as the internal voice of the customer while balancing customer needs with business objectives
• Participate in trade shows, customer engagement activities, and market visibility initiatives as a representative of Sonoco and the Reels division
• Provide professional presentations and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
• Foster strong cross-functional relationships and lead collaborative efforts across divisions and teams, even without direct reporting authority
• Extensive experience in strategic account management and relationship building
• Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and lead in cross-functional settings
• Strong commercial insight with the capability to recognize customer value opportunities and support business growth
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
• Ability to thrive in a lean, highly collaborative team environment
• Experience managing large or complex customer relationships is preferred, particularly those exceeding $20M
• Background in industrial or manufacturing sales is advantageous but not mandatory
• Candidates with substantial corporate or global account experience and high growth potential are strongly encouraged to apply
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
