This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the access and coverage strategy for a designated group of national and regional payers, PBMs, and IDN accounts; create and implement account-specific business plans that align with Capricor's launch and access goals.
• Spearhead discussions focused on value-based clinical, HEOR, and budget impact with medical directors, pharmacy directors, P&T committees, and policy teams to promote timely and suitable medical policy positions.
• Navigate the unique access pathways associated with infused cell therapies, including buy-and-bill, medical benefit, and specialty pharmacy.
• Collaborate with the Market Access Leadership team on Pricing & Contracting strategies tailored to the economic profile of rare disease cell therapies.
• Lead negotiations at the account level concerning coverage, coding, utilization management, and contracting in partnership with Market Access leadership.
• Develop and sustain trusted relationships with senior leadership at payer organizations across assigned accounts.
• Present engaging, compliant clinical, economic, and patient-centered information utilizing AMCP dossiers, value decks, and approved access materials.
• Track coverage decisions, medical policy updates, and utilization management positions within assigned accounts; identify risks and opportunities as they arise.
• Conduct payer account profiling (government & commercial), create business plans, and execute strategic initiatives with leading payer/customer accounts.
• Set access goals, productivity benchmarks, and ensure the annual creation and execution of account plans.
• Collaborate with Trade & Patient Services to facilitate seamless coverage navigation, prior authorization, and case management for patients within the designated region.
• Work alongside Sales, Medical Affairs, and MSLs to synchronize account-level engagement with broader commercial and scientific efforts, adhering to channel and engagement regulations.
• Provide structured payer intelligence and account insights to Market Access leadership to enhance pricing, contracting, and strategic positioning.
• Maintain precise account plans, CRM activities, and reporting schedules; engage in business reviews and launch readiness discussions.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned periodically.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, MPH, or related) is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in biotech/pharma U.S. Market Access, with at least 5 years in a National Account Director or a similar senior payer-facing position.
• Proven track record of securing coverage for expensive specialty, rare disease, or cell/gene therapy products in the medical benefit channel.
• Established relationships with senior-level stakeholders across national and regional commercial payers, PBMs, Medicaid plans, Medicare/MACs, and IDNs.
• Familiarity with buy-and-bill economics, specialty pharmacy distribution, J-code/HCPCS coding, prior authorization processes, and medical policy formulation.
• Strong analytical abilities, including proficiency in interpreting HEOR data, budget impact analyses, and models for value-based contracting.
