Music Therapist – School Based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver virtual music therapy services to students with diverse needs.

• Perform initial evaluations to identify therapy requirements and goals.

• Design and execute engaging, personalized or group virtual music therapy sessions.

• Implement music-based interventions to enhance communication, motor skills, emotional regulation, and social growth.

• Record session results and track progress toward set goals.

• Work in collaboration with school teams, caregivers, and MIYO Health staff as necessary.

• Assist in the development and updates of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CB-MT).

• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience providing music therapy to children or adolescents.

• Reliable internet access and a professional remote work environment.

• Experience working with students with a range of needs and abilities.

• Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and tools for virtual interactions.

• Availability for approximately 4–5 hours per month, including documentation time.

• Background in school settings or experience with aligning IEP goals.

• Understanding of special education processes and student services.

• A creative and adaptable approach to remote engagement.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
