Multiplayer Game Designer – F/H/NB

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• You will be responsible for evaluating balance through player feedback and analytics data, while actively engaging with the community regarding game design.

• Collaborating with the creative director, producer, developers, and artists, you will oversee the execution of new features and systems from initial concept to final release.

• You will support developers in prototyping new features and gameplay by providing design insights and producing briefs, system outlines, technical specifications, and visual concepts.

• You will create succinct design documents, which include one-page briefs, system outlines, and various tools to facilitate effective communication of design concepts.

• You will lead the UX design for multiplayer and online elements, including matchmaking, communication features, and Heads Up Displays.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience: You have contributed to at least one commercial multiplayer game.

• You have experience working in Unity on a multiplayer project and possess knowledge of Telemetry.

• You have a solid understanding of multiplayer game balancing, meta games, match pacing, and player engagement strategies.

• You are capable of utilizing 2D tools to develop clear concepts and designs.

• You are based in Europe.

• You have prior experience in a remote working environment.

• You are available to work 32-40 hours per week.

• You possess excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills in English.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Interactive Media, or a related field is preferred; relevant coursework, certifications, or professional experience in multiplayer game design, level design, or game development is advantageous.
