• Accountable for ensuring compliance with technical accounting standards, maintaining financial and operational internal controls, simplifying processes, and achieving operational excellence to produce precise financial reporting and analysis.
• Supervise a team of over 20 employees, both directly and indirectly.
• Guarantee precise financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and statutory requirements throughout the MRO international network.
• Promote efficient, routine, and compliant closing processes that foster standardization, simplification, and an enhanced work/life balance for the accounting team.
• Offer strategic controllership support to the MRO finance, operations, and Time & Materials commercial teams.
• Oversee the controllership elements of the ongoing ERP transformation initiative across the MRO facilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle complex accounting issues, promote process enhancements, and ensure alignment with GE Aerospace’s strategic objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or accounting from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles with increasing leadership responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication abilities.
• Proficient in analyzing and resolving intricate financial and operational issues.
• Strategic thinker with a keen attention to detail and effective time management skills.
• Capable of leading through uncertainty and achieving results in fast-paced environments.
• CPA, CA, or equivalent certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of lean operating principles and their application to controllership and operational processes.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale programs/projects and influence results in a matrixed organization.
