Global Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and enhance a global accounting organization spanning various regions and legal entities.

• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure prompt and precise financial reporting.

• Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory reporting obligations.

• Formulate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for global operations to mitigate risk.

• Oversee intercompany accounting, consolidations, foreign currency transactions, and worldwide reconciliations.

• Direct controllership and accounting efforts for international construction projects, coordinating with joint venture partners.

• Collaborate with external accounting firms to enhance tax-advantaged strategies and ensure tax compliance across multi-state and international platforms.

• Act as the executive sponsor and finance lead for the deployment of a global ERP platform.

• Work with IT, external consultants, and business stakeholders to establish system requirements, accounting workflows, reporting structures, and control frameworks.

• Drive the redesign of the chart of accounts, process mapping, data migration validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-go-live stabilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA is preferred, or equivalent technical accounting expertise.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership.

• Strong familiarity with U.S. GAAP reporting standards.

• Proven track record in leading or playing a significant role in a full-cycle ERP implementation (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP S/4HANA, or similar).

• Experience within the construction industry is advantageous.

• Experience transitioning from internally generated financial statements to reviewed or audited financials.

• Knowledge of shared services or outsourced accounting models.
