Mortgage Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a technical authority and reliable advisor throughout the post-sales phase.

• Collaborate with customer teams to comprehend workflows and showcase how Ocrolus technology enhances mortgage origination efficiency.

• Evaluate and provide consultancy on technical solutions, APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and integrations.

• Develop and support technical solutions and integrations for mortgage clients utilizing Ocrolus, Encompass, and other POS/LOS mortgage platforms.

• Conduct proof-of-concept and proof-of-value initiatives to demonstrate return on investment (ROI).

• Diagnose technical issues in live environments.

• Collaborate with Account Management and Product teams to provide value and influence the product roadmap.

• Travel occasionally, approximately 30–50%, to customer locations and industry events.

• Collaborate with Account Management, implementation, and onboarding teams.

• Report to the Lead Forward-Deployed Engineer and the VP of Account Management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting.

• Over 3 years of experience or background in mortgage or lending workflows.

• Strong knowledge and experience with Encompass.

• Effective consultative sales/account management skills.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, including experience interacting with senior mortgage executives.

• Backend expertise with Python, APIs, Encompass Developer Connect, and SQL.

• Frontend experience with React/TypeScript and JavaScript using the ICE Secure Scripting Framework (SSF).

• Familiarity with mortgage LOS/POS platforms, such as Encompass, Blend, SimpleNexus, and Floify.

• Proficiency in Git.

• Basic understanding of cloud technologies in AWS/Azure.

• Ability to excel in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.

• Nice to have: experience with SaaS integrations or loan origination systems.

• Nice to have: additional mortgage LOS/POS experience.

• Nice to have: exposure to AI/ML or generative AI.
