Mortgage Area Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conducts a diverse array of tasks associated with the origination of residential mortgage loans for Financial Center offices.

• Achieves benchmarks and goals established by management for personal mortgage loan sales and cross-selling initiatives.

• Takes full responsibility for the residential mortgage loan process from application through to closing on personal production.

• Oversees a team of at least 5 Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs).

• Cultivates and nurtures relationships with referral sources, including realtors, builders, and both professional and personal contacts.

• Fosters a sales-oriented culture and environment within the team.

• Maintains a thorough understanding of the policies and procedures of Fifth Third Mortgage Company.

• Engages in ongoing efforts to enhance customer service for both internal and external clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

• 2-4 years of experience in residential mortgage sales is mandatory.

• Comprehensive knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines.

• Previous experience in a management role is preferred.

• Familiarity with residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing practices.

• Awareness of federal lending regulations that govern real estate lending.

• Capability to assess policies, procedures, and guidelines to optimize productivity while managing the desired level of risk.

• Proficient in advanced sales techniques and coaching methods.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.

• Proficient in Windows-based software applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
