This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Executes a diverse array of tasks related to the initiation of residential mortgage loans for Financial Center offices and external referrals.
• Achieves performance targets and objectives set by management for personal mortgage loan sales and cross-selling initiatives.
• Takes full accountability for the residential mortgage loan process from application through to closing on personal production.
• Oversees the overall output of the team and manages the daily activities of each Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
• Collaborates with Fulfillment Operations to enhance closed loan volume.
• Cultivates and maintains relationships with referral sources, including realtors, builders, and both professional and personal contacts.
• Fosters a sales-driven culture and environment within the team.
• Builds and nurtures relationships with Financial Center staff to generate business and referrals.
• Stays informed about Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• A two or four-year college degree is preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in residential mortgage sales is mandatory.
• Comprehensive understanding of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines is essential.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures is necessary.
• Knowledge of federal lending regulations that govern real estate lending is required.
• Proven leadership, organizational, teamwork, and customer service capabilities are essential.
• Must exemplify integrity and lead by example.
• Ability to evaluate policies, procedures, and guidelines to maximize productivity while maintaining desired risk levels.
• Proficient in sales techniques and coaching skills.
• Strong motivation to excel in a competitive atmosphere.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, people, and diplomacy skills are a must.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adapt flexibly is essential.
• Proficient in PC usage, particularly in Windows-based software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with mortgage origination systems and automated decision-making tools is required.
• Capable of motivating the team, working independently, managing several projects, performing under pressure, and adjusting to sudden changes in the work environment.
