This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take ownership of the commercial LiveOps strategy, which includes developing pricing frameworks, establishing promotional rhythms, creating an experimentation roadmap, and executing a data-driven commercial calendar.
• Implement a robust F2P approach by maintaining a balance between free and premium offerings, designing clear upgrade pathways, and establishing sustainable monetization mechanics in close partnership with the Product team.
• Define and refine the monetization roadmap, focusing on scaling subscriptions initially and branching out into consumables, repeat purchase loops, and long-term ARPPU growth systems.
• Utilize tools such as RevenueCat to manage product setups, paywalls, targeting, and experiments; track key metrics and address performance fluctuations.
• Maintain a comprehensive analytical view of performance metrics including conversion, retention, ARPU/LTV, pricing, FX, and cohort behavior, identifying and prioritizing the most impactful growth drivers with focus and clarity.
• Lead intricate, cross-functional monetization projects (e.g., tiering, packaging, pricing structures) across various placements, clients, and regions, ensuring measurable revenue outcomes.
• Enhance subscription foundations by fostering stakeholder alignment, ensuring effective tooling and measurement, and pragmatically refining processes to support scalable growth.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Freemium monetization or LiveOps (either in mobile games or high-scale freemium applications).
• Demonstrated success in IAP growth, preferably with “vitamin” products as opposed to “painkiller” offerings.
• Strategic insight into freemium business mechanics and growth strategies throughout the funnel in social or multiplayer applications.
• Experience managing a live-service product, coupled with a strong grasp of digital app economy design principles and analytical skills: capable of interpreting data, crafting coherent narratives, and translating insights into prioritized actions.
• Profound understanding of behavioral psychology in monetization to create engagement hooks that align with user motivations while avoiding monetization fatigue.
• Exceptional project and stakeholder management skills in complex, multi-market environments.
• High level of ownership: proactive, self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable executing the majority of tasks independently.
